I have one for ya. Smack in the middle of my beat is a dead end road with a HUGE turn-around. Kids like to sit up there at night and drink. I come on shift at 0600 and decide to slide out there real quick and see if any of them are still there. As I pull up I see a red truck with white doors parked sideways in the turn around with the driver slumped over the wheel. I'm thinking "He's either dead or drunk" The answer was definitely drunk. BANG BANG BANG on the door frame. nothin. BANG BANG BANG on the door frame with my ASP. He looks up grabs his keys, starts trying to start the truck, and says "I'm going, I'm going". I open the door with a "nope, your not". He gives me this name and then can't spell it for me. About that time my traffic car comes pulling up. My traffic partner starts trying to talk to the guy and the guy stays with the name he gave me but not much else of his story. Finally he tells me to call his mother-in-law and she will come get him. OK maybe she will verify this guys identity. (No hits on GCIC and a valid DL) Mama-in law says she doesn't know anyone by that name. I give her a description of him and Hello, off she goes, seems home-boy has a suspended drivers license, 2 warrants from another agency, and no tag or insurance on the vehicle as mama-in-law cancelled it all when she kicked him out for beating up her daughter. He has no ID and we have never booked him in our jail but the next town over has. He gets hauled over there were we are informed they are REAL familiar with this guy (for beating up his wife). We get their booking info and dude gets booked into our jail for the outstanding warrants and giving false name and DOB to LE. 2 weeks later we saw him driving in the little town we had taken him to , called a buddy at that agency and HELLO, No DL, No Ins, No Tag, and you guessed it, False name again. Don't ya just LOVE stupid people.

I think we all have a story like that- but it's good to read another! Stay safe. Speaking of "stupid people"- how about these gambling links?!!!
