"Remember The Child" ~Written and Performed by Paul Jones~
Last night I saw a man in the park, Lying on a bench. He had his eyes focused on the stars, I wondered what that meant.
He looked so cold, His clothes were filled with holes, Yet he looked at me and smiled.
How could this be a man without my things, Happy to be alive? Is there more to life?
Today I saw a child dropped at school, A chauffer let her out. She must have everything a little girl could want, Yet she seemed to pout. I heard her ask, "When will they be home?" "Lord I miss them so". The driver shook his head, She began to cry, He said, "Honey, I've got to go". Is there more to life?
Please remember the child. Remember the day that you brought her home. Remember how it felt when she laid her head on your shoulder so. Please Remember the Child. Yea - there's more to life...
I called my son today, He said, "Daddy, when are you coming home?" "Why are you gone? Is it for everything - everything we own?" "I only need one thing, it cannot be bought in any store". "I need your love, your ever-lasting love, now and forever more". Yea, there's more to life... Oh!Yeah..Oh!Yeah... There is more to life.... Oh!Yeah..Oh!Yeah...
